Picture of Emma Johnstone Emma Johnstone is a London-based contemporary ceramicist who creates work using the dramatic firing process of Raku.

Each piece is a unique hollow-thrown vessel, which is Raku fired and gilded with three types of gold and copper leaf.

As well as exhibiting her work countrywide through galleries and art fairs, Emma also works with The Bradley Collection, who make bespoke finials. To see her exclusive pieces please visit The Bradley Collection website.

Emma also does commissions, and at present is working on an exciting project for a new hotel in Newquay. She is making a series of wall pieces for several areas of the Hotel including an installation in the entrance. Completion date for the Scarlet Hotel is in July 2009.
